Had a great stop in Phoenix, home of the RiverBrats and then across
the lake to Sackets Harbor for an interesting stop.
Went down Henderson Bay to a cove and anchored. Just about dusk the
wind shifted and we had a little blow as the front went through. After
it was all done I decided that I didn't like where the wind had left us
and cranked up the engines to move. We were reminded once again why a weedy
bottom is to be avoided if possible. Mary had to cut through a ball of
green stuff about twice the size of a basket ball to get us away.
Then off to a night at the New York Fisheries dock in Cape Vincent before
a short 10 mile trip up to Clayton, NY and a stop at the Islander Marina.
We rented a car and drove into Canada to Kingston to pick up Chris Noyaert,
out good friend and visitor for the start of the Rideau jount.
Then
a 20 mile cruise on the St. Lawrance to Kingston where we will 'prepare'
ourselves for the trip up to Ottawa |
