LETITIA is wired to accept ‘house’ AC power from one of three sources:
• One or two 30 amp 115v shore power feeds (described more later)A 2,500 watt Inverter/Charger provides AC to separate independent circuits through a breaker panel on the lower helm. The Inverter either draws power from the ‘house’ battery bank (8 6-volt golf cart batteries) to invert to AC or charges then from AC obtained from the main panel. The ‘house’ battery bank provides DC for the boat. There is separate start battery for the main engines and one for the generator. Breaker switches are color coded – see upper right of panel for code. |
Trace Inverter/Charger
The AC output from the inverter goes to a separate breaker panel located at the lower helm. There are physically separate electrical feeds and wall plugs for inverted AC as opposed to shore power or that provided by the generator. The inverter AC is usually on the right side of quad-boxes or horizontally oriented duplex-boxes. Any gray wall plug is inverter power only. Turn the inverter on/off from the Trace RC-2000 REMOTE Control panel.
