Washington DC is one of those special places for us. It's full of life and things to see and do. We have fond memories of the time we spent here. We had wanted to see if some of those things were still here, we wanted to touch base with old friends, and we wanted to watch the 4th of July fireworks from right downtown on the DC waterfront.
We did all those things!!
We got our metro passes and took off for the Mall. This was the weekend for the Folk Festival organized by the Simthsonian. They put on quite a show. | ||

We will visit with Kristin's parents-in-law for dinner Saturday. Both
Kristin and Ross and Kevin and Kristen will be there.
On Sunday they will join us and some friends on Letitia to watch the
4th of July fireworks.
